Is equality in the workplace achievable?

Why are there only a few women working in ICTS? How can we achieve equal pay for men and women? What would make working in ICTS accessible for women? How can we actively change our environment to make it more inclusive for women?

The ICTS sector faces a long-term shortage of workers. And yet, only 10 % of ICTS workers are women. Women also comprise two thirds of university graduates. Studies show that the more diverse the workplace is, the more innovative the company can be. Despite all this, women still face an exclusive environment, rigid work contracts and old stereotypes when working in the ICTS sector.

Join us for an online discussion with Šárka Homfray from Czechia and Renate Wapenhensch - both of them will talk about their experience in working in male dominated industries and about their efforts to achieve equality between men and women in the workplace. We will post their vignettes in separate posts later.

During the discussion you can ask the speakers questions live. Alternatively, you can write your question via Sli.do.

The discussion is for workers from call centres and IT firms from all over the Czech Republic. It is organised by the Work on Wire initiative of ICTS workers with support of OS PPP.
